Help me give my students a safe, welcoming space where they can build healthy relationships, learn positive coping skills, and develop the confidence they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

My Project

As a school social worker, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where every student feels seen, supported, and cared for. Every day, I work with students who are learning how to manage anxiety, build healthy friendships, cope with family changes, handle big emotions, and work through challenges like bullying. Having the right resources allows me to better support them through individual counseling, small groups, and activities that help build trust and confidence.

This project will help create a comfortable social workers office with floor cushions, fidgets, and other sensory tools that help students calm their minds and practice healthy coping skills.

I am requesting books that cover topics such as bullying, honesty, kindness, friendship, and emotional regulation. These books help start important conversations and give students the opportunity to learn through stories they can relate to.

I am also requesting a microwave to use during my Lunch Bunch groups. These groups give students a chance to eat together, build friendships, practice social skills, and connect with a trusted adult in a relaxed setting. Some of the best conversations happen during these small group lunches, and they often help students feel more connected at school.

Your support will help me create a space where students feel comfortable being themselves, learn skills they can use every day, and know they always have a safe place to turn. Thank you for helping me make a positive difference in the lives of my students.
