My Project

“Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.” — Kay Redfield Jamison.

My students are scholars, actors, comedians, artists, inventors, poets, deep-thinkers, incredibly resilient, and so much more.

They also navigate a variety of challenging social-emotional needs that are often best expressed through the mediums of play and art-based therapies. My hope with this project is to provide a warm, welcoming, safe space where these incredible kids can feel empowered to heal, grow, and expand their social-emotional capacities. All children deserve such spaces and resources, and the brilliant kids I work with are no exception.
