Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school culture is 80% Hispanic, with more than half on free or reduced lunch. The majority of them are curious about life.

My students always stress how they are young adults.

But I love how they want to be adults, but still get the thrills of a young child upon seeing their work displayed in the classroom.

The majority of my students express how they don’t get praised at home, so this allows them that feeling of pride.

My Project

A laminator will allow me to preserve my students’ great artwork. It will also allow them to keep the cherished piece forever.

By having them create art, it allows all students to demonstrate their knowledge of a reading by another means besides a quiz or essay.

My students create beautiful artwork that relates to the literature we read. An example would be the artwork that relates to the study of the Holocaust. I would like to showcase this work as it will bring a smile to their faces.

The shredder will add security to the personal information of my students. At a young age, they don’t need to worry about their personal information.
