This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need a safer, more functional space and the right tools to fully engage in hands-on science.

Every science investigation begins with curiosity, but students need the right environment and tools to turn that curiosity into discovery.

Our classroom currently has worn fabric and foam chairs that are difficult to clean and are not ideal for activities involving water and other laboratory materials.

This project will provide durable plastic chairs, along with essential lab equipment such as beakers, test tubes, test tube racks, Erlenmeyer flasks, and universal stands. These materials will give students more opportunities to observe phenomena, ask questions, investigate, collect evidence, and make discoveries using authentic science tools.

My goal is to make science more engaging and meaningful while helping students develop curiosity, confidence, critical thinking, and a love for learning science.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
