Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our kindergarten classroom needs engaging materials that will make learning meaningful, active, and fun! This project will provide students with a classroom carpet, hands-on manipulatives, a classroom clock, and play dough. These resources will support students as they develop important early math, literacy, fine-motor, social-emotional, and problem-solving skills.

The classroom carpet will provide a welcoming space for whole-group instruction, read-alouds, morning meetings, and collaborative learning.

Manipulatives will give students opportunities to explore numbers, shapes, patterns, counting, and other kindergarten concepts through hands-on experiences. A classroom clock will help students begin developing an understanding of time and daily routines. Play dough will strengthen fine-motor skills while encouraging creativity, imagination, and problem-solving.

Together, these materials will help create a warm, engaging classroom where kindergarten students can learn through exploration, movement, and hands-on experiences.
