My Students

Teaching and learning is a never-ending process for all children. As a teacher in a Title 1 School, where so many of our children come from immigrant families, education is ever so important and a great responsibility. We give our children a sense of the world around them and open doors to more learning and curiosities. We learn to adapt to all that comes towards us.

I have been teaching for a few years and it continues to bring me so much joy but it is even more gratifying that I am teaching in the same exact school I once attended myself.

"That's so awesome!" is probably one of the most gratifying words you can hear when students really grasp a concept you've been working on together for days, weeks, or even months. Many of our children come from low income families. They don't necessarily have tools they need to support their learning and curiosities. I hope that I can inspire them every day to nurture their ideas and motivate them to achieve more than they thought.

My Project

Our classroom is full of eager learners. We work together everyday, much like a strong community. We spend time together and become like a family, where we share our space together and learn to help each other as well.

We work in many parts and areas in our classroom but the heart of it truly is the meeting area.

It where we do all of our learning and share important thoughts and ideas to help us grow. Adding a rug to our classroom will pull it together and create a warm and cozy learning environment for us. It will also be a great space for us to read independently and as a group.
