This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating has proven to be a great resource in the classroom. While we all know the difficulties of sitting in a chair all day working, most students find it too difficult. My students need alternative seating. At their age, it is unnatural for students to sit still in the same spot for hours at a time, as they are being asked to do. Research shows that flexible seating leads to better physical health. Allowing more opportunities for students to meet their sensory needs is a win for everyone!

Encouraging movement and comfort in my classroom so that each student can find their best learning style is always my goal.

On most days during our lunch or brunch, my classroom is full of kiddos. Most are my students current and past, but others are not. Searching for a comfortable place to sit or relax, they come to my classroom because of all my flexible seating. This lounge coach will ensure another cozy comfortable space in our classroom.
