My Students

Hello, everyone! I am a third grade teacher working for a high poverty school district located in rural mid-Missouri. Our small elementary school provides education to around 250 students.

My classroom usually consists of around 18 bright and shining jewels!

These children each bring with them their own unique personalities and characteristics, helping to make our wacky classroom family complete. My students enjoy moving around, working with partners, interacting with technology, and learning through hands-on experiences. Hard work, enthusiasm, high fives, and smiles fill our classroom daily. These children truly deserve the best education possible!

My Project

One of my goals this year is to increase my overall classroom attendance. I plan to accomplish this by eliminating the amount of germs that float around in our classroom. Germs lead to many student absences and lost learning opportunities.

During cold and flu season, many students are coming to school with runny noses and colds.

I plan to use the Clorox wipes and disinfectant sprays to remove as many harmful germs as I can throughout the day. I will have the hand sanitizer available for students to use after they cough and blow their noses. The baby wipes will also be available for students as an additional way for them to keep themselves clean and germ free.

I am excited to see how a clean and healthy atmosphere will lead to healthier students, improved attendance, and a better education!
