My Students

My students make up a huge piece of my heart and have to be some of the best students on the planet! We live in a rural part of Arkansas and our school is quite small.

But where we are small in size, we make up in spirit!

My students come from everyday, hard-working families and almost 60% qualify for free and reduced lunch. They know the value of working hard and I couldn't ask for better kids to spend my days with.

They deserve all the best the world has to offer; my hope is that I can always instill this in my students while also offering them the best education and lasting life lessons to prepare them for the world outside of my four walls.

My Project

I would like to create a classroom snack pantry for my students! There are many days that my students come in and forgot breakfast or don't have the resources to have a little snack available to them in their backpack.

My goal is to ensure my students never go hungry while learning in my classroom!

This is something I have started on a small scale already, by buying a few snack foods here and there in bulk, and keeping it in a drawer that students knew they could access if they were genuinely in need of a snack.

This project would help grow this snack drawer into an actual snack pantry for my classroom!
