Creating a 2nd Grade Classroom

Help me give my students I am a 2nd year special education teacher, transitioning to a new role of 2nd grade teacher. These are some things that will help complete our new classroom. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My Project

The specific items will be utilized to support student learning by helping maintain an organized classroom with routine. Studies show that students thrive on consistency and routine. The hanging folders are to organize the lessons and enrichment plans into "Make-Up Work," "This Week," and "Next Week." With unforeseen illnesses that may keep me out of the classroom, the students will be able to easily follow a routine with a substitute until my return. Next, the large post-it pads are amazing for anchor charts the students can help create to lead their learning. The bigger ticket items being requested help students maintain focus and engaged in learning. For example, the carpet is specifically chosen to allow for organized flexible seating. The alphabet/phonics supporting pop-it allows students a more hands-on approach to spelling and word building. Everything on this wish-list is chosen specifically with for the best interest of my students for this next school year of 2024-2025. Any support you can offer will be greatly appreciated, not only my myself, but by my students as well!
