I feel like this helps keep the students focused. In addition, we just listened to an entire novel using the blue tooth speaker. Before accessing the play materials, students must first complete their assigned \"must do\" tasks. This structure has increased engagement during our \"must do\" activities, as students are motivated to complete their work in order to earn time with the new materials.\r\n\r\nOnce students begin using the resources, they are encouraged to think outside the box and enhance their creativity while practicing their reading skills. When I introduced the new materials, students were eager to participate in every center so they could have the opportunity to use the new items in the classroom. This approach has helped foster motivation, independence, and excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nCurrently, my students are learning how to independently read simple sentences that include CVC words. I recently purchased a few resources from Teachers Pay Teachers that feature road-themed activities. During ELA, I plan to incorporate toy cars alongside these resources to support my students as they practice reading simple sentences and high-frequency words.\r\n\r\nBy driving the cars along the roads as they read, students are encouraged to stay engaged while building independence and confidence in their reading skills. The new headphones let students focus during work on their chromebooks without getting distracted by all the noise around them. The wobble stools have been a huge hit too! They give students a chance to move while still staying on task. And our new classroom calendar has helped bring more structure to our mornings, making it easier for everyone to know what's coming up next.\r\n\r\nWhat the students are most excited about is getting to USE everything. They love choosing a wobble stool during small groups, and many of them can't wait to grab a pair of headphones during centers to create their own quiet little workspace. Updating the classroom calendar has even turned into a daily job they look forward to.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our classroom these tools that make learning more fun, comfortable, and engaging.
