My Students

Our school is in a very rural part of Western Alabama, and our students come from our community and surrounding areas. Most of our students live in rural agricultural areas with a low socioeconomic status. The students in our school are not often awarded the opportunity for exploration and creativity outside of school and as educators, we love to provide them with experiences that will enrich their background knowledge.

From PreK to 12th grade, our students are inquisitive and creative, so we try to find a variety of ways to meet their needs.

By far they love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Our students thrive off of hands-on activities and have a passion for learning.

My Project

Our students have so little time or space to be able to create during class time. Visits to the library are fun and enjoyable for all students. Whether they come to check out a book or work on a project, the library is a welcoming place for creativity. Is there anything better than a Lego to start creating?

The Lego Wall will help to create a space where students can imagine and create.

They can use their imagination or take on challenges. Since we are a PreK-12th grade school, we want blocks that can be used by the younger students as well as the older students. The wall will provide a place for them to display their creations!
