My Students

Our students are creative, thoughtful, and inquisitive. They are a community of thinkers and doers. They look forward to every opportunity they have to use their imaginations and their hands to create something new and interesting.

Funding our project will support the continued development of their fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, and creative minds.

Our school is located in Brooklyn, NY in a community that is diverse in culture, race, and socioeconomics. When you walk the halls and peek into our classrooms you will hear them sharing their thoughts and ideas, and observe them collaborating with their peers.

This project provides each student with the materials that will support their growth and love of writing and creating.

My Project

Our students love to explore and make use of materials in various ways. They use dry erase markers daily to practice letter formation, when learning sound and writing words, during math, and to play games and draw. They explore the maker station during center time and love to combine recycled materials with new pompoms, craft sticks, and stickers, which allows their imaginations to run free. The clothes pins, stickers, pompoms, craft sticks, and glitter are used for art, multi sensory learning experiences, sensory centers, and so much more. Our students love to make thing for each other and to bring home to their families. Your support will help us continue to support their love of art and learning.
