This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom has a diverse population comprised of primarily Spanish speaking students. My scholars have a joy and passion for learning, despite any hardships they may face. My student's are not inhibited by their circumstances, but are driven to break the glass-ceiling. My classroom is full of scholars who come are excited to learn and explore the world around them.

Their vibrant minds fall in love with learning each day.

It is essential that they get the full benefit of an engaging classroom. School is one of their favorite places and is a safe haven.

My Project

The world is changing and the classroom needs to change with the 21st century. Alternative seating has been proven to increase student success. The idea of flexible seating is to create a comfortable environment that helps scholars be their best learning selves and in doing so create circumstances of learning. The comfy peanut chairs will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. This functional modality of learning will broaden students scope of success.

Revitalizing the classroom enables students to exercise choice within their learning.

My scholars will significantly be more engaged. I aspire to have a classroom filled with autonomous scholars ready for the 21st century. Thank you for providing the means to make this happen!
