One of the most incredible aspects of our classroom community is the diversity of the students. Given that their ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds are so varied, it is essential that we take steps to ensure all students know they are valued in our classroom.
Our school offers beige-colored band-aids in the nurse's office, but beige does not fully represent the skin tones at our school.
Help students know that they are seen and appreciated for who they are.
In addition to band-aids, this project includes a number of classroom supplies that will promote student wellness and success, including a globe, motivational stickers, and tissue boxes. These supplies could make a big difference to the day-to-day functioning and sense of community in our classroom.
