Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"If you are unwilling to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you." My students, the majority of which are of low socioeconomic backgrounds and English Learners strive to live by this motto. These supplies will help my students aspire to set higher goals.

My second graders are primarily of low socioeconomic backgrounds.

Many are English Language Learners. Our school is a small public neighborhood school. Our school represents Kindergarten to third grade. My students enjoy school and learning. Many are beginning to read chapter books and thus need to strengthen their comprehension and vocabulary skills. These children beg to take home books and read through recess!

My Project

The Hot Dots I have asked for are great for strengthening students skills in core subject areas such as Math, English Language Arts, and Science. Students will also strengthen their collaborative learning and communication skills with the materials requested.

My students are very bright and outgoing children.

However, they need to work on their oral language and collaborative skills. I believe their confidence in themselves will soar with these materials.
