My Students

I am a 2nd grade teacher who is in love with her fun, loving, smart, energetic students. It is my goal to provide them with every opportunity to grow academically.

My school is a Title 1 school, where the majority of my students live in poverty.

It is my pleasure to show my kiddos that they are worth it. They are fun, energetic, and smart! Regardless of their home lives, these students are all equal when they step into my classroom.

As with every year, I hope that I am able to provide these children with everything they need to excel in and outside of school.

My Project

Who wants to learn by completing worksheets? No one! While some times it is necessary to have students complete assignments or assessments on paper, there is a better way to do it.

Research shows that color ignites excitement in the brain and it is my goal to get those wheels turning!

I have seen first hand that when a worksheet printed on colorful paper is put in front of a student, it becomes more of a "game" and less of a boring worksheet.

These colorful Astrobrights will be used for games, assessments, practice, and parent notifications. It is my goal to create a fun creative learning atmosphere.
