Back in the fall, my students became enthralled in learning all about famous people. They couldn't get enough and were biography crazy! I am asking for some new additions, new biographies to keep that reading spark alive in my classroom. Can you be the one to help us keep that spark alive?
As a regular fourth grade teacher, I can say that my classroom is truly what I can call today's American classroom.
I have students from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Each student is unique in his, or her, own way. Each is deserving of a great education and the materials needed to make that education a bit more fun.
My Project
I am requesting a set of biography books that feature famous people throughout history. My students will use these books to research and learn the specific facts and details about the famous people featured in the books. My fourth graders will then transform themselves into that famous person. They will use what they have learned to create a living wax museum where the students dress up and present their famous person. These books will help aid them so that they can create their presentations.
I want to give my students a great learning environment, but realistically I cannot self-fund the materials that are needed and my school cannot afford to purchase these materials for classrooms.
From low-performing to high-achieving students, all learning abilities can benefit from the use of these laptops. Your help will ensure that my students have the materials they need in order to continue to grow and blossom in my classroom.
