This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Dear donors, in this project I have selected items to replace old sets of markers and crayons in our classroom. I have had my color pencil sets for a few years now and many boxes have missing color pencils or are too small to sharpen due to frequent usage. Many crayons have broken in half making sets incomplete. In this project I have selected twistable crayons that have plastic to avoid breaking in half and since the tip can be twisted, it means that the crayon will always be ready to color. I chose these crayons because sharpening crayons is not an easy feat, and the normal crayons get wasted once used midway.
These items will allow my students to continue creating projects by helping us replace the old ones and having supplies for the next few years.
I also included markers which will be used for poster making. I also included items for STEM activities such as wooded sticks and rubber bands which have been used in the past to create catapults. The special tablecloth will be used for enrichment activities to bring some fun into the classroom once in a while. Thanks in advance for your support with making this project possible.
