My Students

Working as an art teacher in an elementary setting is an amazing thing. Young children love to be creative and don't get confined by the limits of their imaginations. They are so excited to create ART each week and hear what medium they might be working with.

Even though they are young, art for them is never limited to crayons and paper.

This is especially vital as many of my students come from lower-income homes and aren't exposed to as much. I love to see the excitement and wonder in each child's eyes as they tune into their own creativity.

My Project

We are still dealing with the pandemic and keeping students in school. They really look forward to expressing themselves through art. Art is an outlet where they can not only express themselves, but also acts as a coping mechanism.

We are also a Title One school and daily our students are also facing food instability, making every day challenging on so many levels.

Please consider our classroom and know that you would be bringing smiles to so many well deserving children. Thank you again for supporting us and investing in America's future leaders.
