Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing bright young individuals. Many are from low income families. The children have experienced hardships and they are so positive energetic, funny and loving children.
They love to learn through play and different activities that I am able to create for them with different materials.
They absolutely love hands on activities. They also love getting messy and exploring.
My students are and incredible group and I am lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners.
My Project
Colors make you happy; colors bring things to life. By painting, drawing, building using play-dough. The children are being problem solvers, using their imagination to become creators, but most of all a sense of pride.
Everything in the classroom is hands-on and initiated by the children.
I follow their lead by guiding them and asking a , question. Learning should be fun. The more fun you have the more you want to learn.
By using play-dough, you can learn the letters by rolling the dough and making the letters. By painting, you get to use your imagination then putting it in a frame it stands out and gives that child a sense of pride.
Can you imagine going to school each day and having fun and you don't even know you are learning? I want my children to want to come to school every day.
