My students need arts and crafts materials like a Stow & Go Art Easel, Shimmering Dot Art Painters, Easy-Clean Craft Trays, No-Spill Paint Cups & Brushes, and more for our new club!
"Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known."
My students attend a high poverty school.
They are in need of positive reinforcement in their lives and to feel valued in a smaller more comfortable setting where they feel free to express themselves through art.
My students need arts and crafts materials like a Stow & Go Art Easel, Shimmering Dot Art Painters, Easy-Clean Craft Trays, No-Spill Paint Cups & Brushes, and more. These supplies will be used for an arts and crafts club that will take place during lunch. The students will choose a craft each week and work on communicating and working together with their group. We will also work on conflict resolution skills throughout this time. Art has been proved to stimulate and develop the imagination, improve critical thinking, and refines cognitive and creative skills. It has a tremendous impact on the developmental growth of every child and has proved to help level the "learning field" across socioeconomic boundaries. Art also teaches children life skills such as developing an informed perception, articulating a vision, learning to solve problems and make decisions, building self-confidence and self-discipline, developing the ability to imagine what might be, and accepting responsibility to complete tasks from start to finish.
My project is important in order for my students to remain focused on the positive and remain in a positive atmosphere while creating crafts, painting, drawing and socializing.
They will also take part in fundraisers throughout the year by selling their artistic creations!
