My Project

The specific items I am requesting are a rug, chair, and lights to create a cozy reading area that students can spend time in. After doing some research on ways to promote literacy at my school, one of the ideas mentioned was to create an environment in which students can read independently for fun. Often when students leave elementary school and enter middle school, the joy for reading disappears. Therefore, it is my goal to create a space where students can get excited to read. They can sit in comfy chairs rather than at their desk. My students love having places to sit outside of the old desk/chair.
