My Project

Our students attend a rural middle school in northwestern Wisconsin. Over half of our students come from economically disadvantaged households and we have refugee students mainly from Somalia. The school library media center serves the important purpose of providing resources for our students and teachers.

The library provides an important space where students can have a quiet place to read.

The library provides books and resources for all levels and student abilities to check out for research and recreational reading. Many of our students come from print poor households where books and reading materials are not available. By providing two comfortable chairs students will be able to read in a calm, quiet area.

I would like to provide a quiet reading area where students can read without distraction for the pure enjoyment of reading.
