Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These bean bag chairs and flexible seating options will provide students, with reading struggles, a comfortable corner to cozy up with a good book! These fun seats will provide students with an area in the classroom to practice taught letter sounds in a comfortable environment. Many of my students have difficulty maintaining focus and a choice of seating will increase their desire to practice reading authentic literature.

This cozy reading nook will motivate students and encourage a life-long love of reading.

As their “reading muscles” strengthen, their motivation to read will increase as well as their confidence!

In addition, fidgets and calming activities will be utilized as needed to allow students a break when needed.
