This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a special educator to Early Elementary students, each day is unique with its own set of challenges. Long gone are the days of just teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Before my students are able to learn, I need to make sure they have the necessary tools to support their disabilities. Whether it is assisting them to regulate behaviors or finding ways to retain knowledge, my end goals is for each student to feel successful at the end of their day with their accomplishments!

Teaching students to LOVE EACH OTHER is teaching students to LEARN FROM EACH OTHER!

My Project

My students are interested in learning all about stories as we sit together on the floor. While it brings us closer together than sitting at the table, the floor just isn't always that comfortable.

These 3 cozy floor seats will allow my students to feel right at home during our story time.

This will allow their bodies to feel relaxed and give their minds the amazing opportunity to be open and available while they grow as they gain new knowledge.

If we can learn how to relax the body and mind.....then the rest shall fall in place as it is meant to happen.
