My Students

I work with some awesome kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students! As the school counselor I get to interact with each and every student during our monthly character ed lessons as well as offering individual and group counseling.

For many of my students school is their safe place where they are loved and well cared for.

As the school counselor I work hard to effectively meet the needs of every student.

My Project

As the school counselor, my office is intended to be a safe and calm environment for all students. Many of my kiddos refer to my room as "the calm room" or "the relax space" - I love that they have this association with my office! My room is small and it has been difficult to find seating that can be just as relaxing and calm as the rest of the vibe my office exudes. This couch will provide my students with a comfortable place to sit as they talk through their feelings, learn with their friends, and take some time to regulate.
