My Project

Kindergarten is the foundational year for building classroom community and developing social skills. One of the best ways to create a positive classroom community and provide opportunities to socialize is through time spent together on our classroom carpet.

We use the classroom carpet for reading stories, sharing weekend news with each other, brain breaks, learning, and so much more.

I am requesting a larger classroom carpet than we currently have so that each student will have their own specific place to sit and be a part of our classroom community. A new, spacious classroom carpet will truly provide opportunities to bring our students together more and foster those much-needed social skills.
