Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With your support, our students will have a chance to call our classroom a home away from home with love and community at its center. The wallpaper will bring life to our walls-helping to make our classroom feel inviting. I plan to dedicate a portion of our wall space to include pictures of our classroom family as we learn and grow together throughout the year. The warm lighting will help set a welcoming atmosphere as we gather on our cozy classroom carpet to learn alongside one another.

My project goal is to establish a nurturing environment where all students, including those with unique challenges, feel embraced and motivated to learn collaboratively in our classroom family.

What makes my students exceptional is our diverse and resilient community. We are a Title I school serving students from low-income backgrounds on a Native American Reservation in Washington state. Our inclusive environment supports English language learners and celebrates the strength of diversity within our classroom.
