Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A new carpet will brighten up the classroom and give students a new spot to sit on the floor. Students are constantly coming to sit on the carpet for group work, partner work, free reading time, and when they want to complete work from the floor. We also have our morning chats on the carpet which kick start our day. Having an additional carpet will give more students a chance to have flexible seating when allowed. This new addition to our class will not only be beneficial to the students, but will also help the classroom look more welcoming to the incoming 2nd graders.
