This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students inspire me on a consistent basis. I am often asked why I choose to work at a critical needs school. The reason is because I see my students, who do not have the resources, the funds, and unfortunately the support that their surrounding peers have, defy the odds of the limitations placed against them. I work for them, I work to try to provide them an adequate education, I work to show them that someone cares, but more importantly, they encourage me. Teaching them is a blessing because it makes me feel as though I am accomplishing something

My Project

Due to the current pandemic, simple sanitation items such as hand-sanitizer, disinfectant, and tissue have become difficult to obtain. However, these items are crucial to maintaining a safe learning environment for scholars. This year, more than any other, it is important to have a sufficient supply of these essential items to ensure the safety and well-being of students. As a teacher, I feel that it is my duty to provide a cleanly environment for my students and to make the feel secure in the safety of their classroom during these trying times.
