Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 3rd-grade students, most of which come from financially restricted households. With a school population that has 15% of students in temporary housing, 37% English Language Learners, and 40% having disabilities. I am determined to give my students the best learning experience possible.

My Project

Students come to school to learn and they should be able to do so in a safe and clean environment. Now more than ever there is a need for extra precaution and safety measures. In an effort to ease the anxiety of an already tense situation, I would like to provide my students with some of the basic health and hygiene items to make our learning environment as germ-free as possible. This project, if funded, will allow for my students to have disinfectant wipes to sanitize high-touch areas in the classroom.

The following was once stated by an unknown author "safety isn't expensive, it's priceless" a saying that couldn't be truer during these times.
