Covid Classroom Necessities

My Students

My students follow the charter of our school and work hard to be capable, confident, and contributing members of society. They have an excitement for learning that is contagious. They are very interested in STEM and love to do cooperative learning activities.

My Project

I have a classroom full of active 4th graders. They are wonderful and energetic. Covid has changed how they learn. They got used to online learning at home and being able to get up and move around a lot whenever they preferred. It has been a challenge for them to sit still for extended periods of time now that we are back in the classroom. I am requesting Storex Active Tilt Stool for a table that I have in my classroom. I use this table for small group reading. I know that these chairs will help my students that have a hard time sitting still.

I also am requesting a classroom set of lab aprons.

We have a new science curriculum that is very hands-on. We have done three dissections so far this year- squids, sheep's brains, and cow's eyeballs. I know that these new lab aprons will greatly benefit my students so that we can continue with these educational and engaging hands-on science lessons. I am grateful that despite Covid and the restrictions that it has put on my classroom, we are still able to do these amazing science experiments when the students have their own supplies that they can use individually.
