This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All my students are loving and caring as well as passionate about school. I want them to be as safe as possible and enjoy going back to school! Many families in the district are essential workers and have been and will continue working during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of our families cannot choose the online option that the district is offering, because they need to economically support their family.

My Project

Please help my public school students get the necessary PPE's for in-person class during COVID-19. We will be returning to full size (25/class) in-person class, and will need as many resources as possible to help prevent my students, student's families, fellow teachers, and community members from getting sick from COVID-19. Given the number of students and the size of our classroom, it will not be possible to maintain safe distances further requiring the proper PPE's.

The air purifier and face shields will help reduce the spread of COVID-19, given they are 7 year old students, and wearing a mask for 8 hours a day is a challenge for them.
