COVID-19 Can't Stop These Superstars!

Help me give my students organizers, bins, and floor seats for the flexibility of where to work while keeping socially distant.

My Students

Even COVID-19 can't stop the learning! I watched in awe, day after day, as my 7-year-old students arrived at online school, listened and learned virtually, and complete work independently before turning work in on Google Classroom. They didn't complain, they didn't make excuses, they showed up! They reminded me to be flexible and creative and to make the best out of the pandemic.

Last spring, when my in-person students arrived , I realized how much different the classroom experience had to be formatted in order to be safe.

I am proud to say that 21/22 of my students returned to in-person learning when we were able to open up for in-person instruction. They learned new procedures such as hand sanitizing and mask-wearing as well as fun new ways to greet each other without hugging. They inspired me to stay positive and focused on what really mattered - being together again safely!

My Project

Socially distanced is still mandatory! These materials - bins, a mobile cart, and organizers - will allow students to sit around the room, not at a hard desk all day and they can be sanitized!

No student should be asked to sit in a hard desk all day but due to COVID-19 restrictions, we continue to have very limited options!

The mobile cart will also allow me to bring lesson materials outside while the students work on clipboards! As Omicron continues to limit our choices, these materials can be taken anywhere around school!

When the pandemic ends, cold and flu season will return so these resources can be used during non-pandemic times.
