This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My colleagues and I were told that our school would be closed for a week unless otherwise stated by our superintendent. At the time, I didn’t realize the severity of it all. I went home with my regular planning materials. Needless to say, I was not prepared to what was to come. My students were unprepared for what was to come as well. I’m happy to say that all my students now have devices for Distance Learning. However, I can really use more materials at home to help them learn.

My Project

Being able to effectively deliver instruction via Zoom classes is essential for student learning. Using the document camera and cart will allow me to bring some normalcy to my students because they will be able to learn and participate in real time as they did in class.

These materials will help me model lessons for my students, therefore, having them "do as I do not as I say." and not the vice versa.
