The students were given 25 minutes every day to walk across the balance beam and do exercises when they got to the end. They learned how to put their arms out to keep their balance.\r\nWhen we unboxed the balance bean outside they kept asking what it was. They were full of questions as to what to do with it. We showed them how it could be done in different ways. \r\nThe children were able to use the balance beam during our Exercise unit and even after. They like to see how fast they can go across it or stay on the beam. They were very excited to get to be hands on with all the new tools and screws and fake wood. \r\nWe will continue to use the work station for our next unit called Wheels.
