My preschool students are 3-5 years old with special needs. They come to school excited, eager, and ready to learn. In our classroom, there are many developmental levels and more than half are English language learners. They have began to develop an amazing bond and understanding with each other. Although more than three-quarters of the students are from low-income households, they experience daily successes at school. Despite of home language, background, or parent income, I think that all students should have equal access to resources that are developmentally appropriate and will keep them engaged in learning.
