My Students

I have a class full of kindergarten students!

Many of my students did not attend preschool and are experiencing a school setting for the first time.

My students will be learning to count to 100 by ones and tens this year. They would love to have some hands-on activities to practice their counting skills!

My Project

This project will help provide materials to help students learn important counting and number sense skills.

A strong number sense is important for young learners so they can understand how our number system works.

Students will use the 100 grid two-sided dry erase boards and fine tip dry erase Expo markers for learning to write numbers through 100. The class will use the wooden montessori hundred chart boards to practice counting and placing numbers 1-100 in numerical order. These new materials will be used by students during our daily math centers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
