My Project

Everyday that I walk into my High School, I am constantly reminded why I chose this profession. The students at my high school are truly one of a kind, despite what they have going on in their personal lives, I am always greeted with a smile and a good morning. The reason why I titled this project 'Counseling Corner' is because it is everything that a counselor's office needs to survive.

It's the mid-point of the school year - please help my students get the boost they need to power through and be at their best.

My office in the counseling department is a safe space where students can work through their struggles, de-stress or find encouragement. Often times, an energizing snack or a new notebook can get them through the door to receive the support they need. Our supply of workbooks, notepads, art materials, books, fidget toys and healthy snacks have been depleted. These small items can make a big difference for students who often lack the learning supplies they need. The printer will allow me to more efficiently and effectively support my students throughout the college process. Your donations will allow me to restock our supplies and provide a little encouragement to students when they need it most.

Something that I have learned in the past few months is that the most important part of being a counselor is always being in the student's "corner." The resources that I am requesting are all items that I have seen to benefit the students (especially snacks, fidget toys, and workbooks!)
