My 8th Grade Theater Production students have chosen to perform an excerpt from SIX the Musical at our school's upcoming Celebration of the Arts. They chose the musical, the excerpt, and their roles, and are even creating their own choreography. They are the ultimate example of innovative, hardworking young artists - full of inspiration with bright eyes to their amazing potential and possibilities for the future.
Your donation would provide each of these amazing students with their entire costume for their musical production.
Each costume includes the specific clothing, stockings, shoes, and hair accessories worn by the character they play, plus rhinestone accessories for students to embellish their shoes and clothing to match those of those in Broadway productions. The costuming for SIX is very particular and instantly recognizable - all productions barely have any variety between costuming, unlike other Broadway shows.
I can't tell you the excitement and joy having full costuming will have for my students. The expense of these costumes is too much: I cannot ask each family to buy their costume, and our school does not have the budget to purchase these costumes at this time. Being able to perform in these costumes will not only be incredibly amazing for the students who get to wear them, but it will also be an amazing experience for their audience of 300 middle school students plus 150-200 families who will see their performance!
