This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us look our best! We need reindeer and elf costumes for our Holiday Concert!

We are a Title 1 Renaissance Elementary School with mostly Hispanic students on free and/or reduced lunch but you would never know it by looking at our test scores.

Our school has been an "A" school for 8 years in a row and our students continue to break records despite their socioeconomic status. In my opinion, the recipe for their success is encouragement, love and support. They have the support of their teachers, family and most of all friends. However, this support only goes so far. Unfortunately due to a lack of funding and a practically non-existent PTA budget, the school is in need of financial assistance to support certain necessary projects.

My Project

Every year we put on the most inspiring musical concerts because even though our school may not have the money to buy lavish costumes and sets, we have students with amazing talent and a community that loves to come out and support them. This year we chose a musical with reindeer and elves and we would like to be able to dress our characters as such. We are requesting costumes to dress our students as these characters!

Our students have been learning their music, practicing their dance steps and rehearsing their lines.

Now all they need is your help to make them look their best on stage! Let's help to make their Holiday Concert one they'll never forget!
