My Project

My first graders have only a vague sense of what climate and environment mean. They have studied deserts, mountains, and the ocean but have little understanding of the correlation between landforms and our environment. We have studied some animals, but have not yet touched upon sea life.

Books about coral reefs and sea turtles are on the first graders wish list!

LEGOS to build sea turtles and coral reefs are a hands-on way to introduce these topics to the younger students.

The requested books foster a love of plants and animals while demonstrating how plant-life is integral to our climate and to the environment, as well as to the survival of animal-life.

These lessons become lessons for life!
