I have 25 enthusiastic learners that love learning! We are a Title I school in a low socioeconomic neighborhood with limited resources. 100% of our students receive free lunches.
The majority of my students are English Language Learners with a lot of curiosity and great ideas.
They come from hard-working families that have at least two jobs. My students need the right resources and tools to help them master the academic standards in all areas. Many of my students lack resources to complete projects at home, such as internet, computers, printers and basic supplies.
My Project
As the year comes to an end, our class has run many resources, one being copy paper! We are scrambling, copying up to four pages front and back on one sheet!!! My students need to be able to underline, highlight and re-read with clarity what we are working on. We also need a working sharpener to finish our year!
As the end of the year approaches, so do our basic school supplies!
In advance, I thank you for allowing us to finish our year without the lack of basic resources, which in my school community are very much needed and put to good use!
