Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves Pre-K through 6th grade, and 98% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Due to budget cuts in our school district, our students do not have a lot of the resources that are necessary for learning all the time. Our 6th grade students have many academic needs but still manage to come to school every day ready and eager to learn. Even though our students don't always have what they need, they still continue to strive for what is important, and that is making learning important in their lives.

My Project

Currently, I used up all my copy paper for the year, and we are in need of copy paper to continue to provide my students with learning tools, resources, and paper for them to print out their essay writings and their own stories that they have created. I have personally purchased a few reams of my own, but eventually it will become too expensive to keep providing my students with this much-needed resource. My students and I will assure that this donation would be used on creating authentic work and that the donation will be used to support students' learning.
