This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Band, Choir, and Color Guard at a Title 1 public school in Tampa, Fl. We are an active music program with a Marching Band, Concert Band, Choir, and Color Guard.

My kids are fiercely passionate about their craft and absolutely love what they do.

They represent some of the very best my school has to offer. They are very hard workers and have an enthusiastic pursuit of knowledge and performance opportunities. Teaching students who want to learn is every educator's dream: it's my daily life!

My Project

We purchase sheet music for all of the students to have performance opportunities, but we make photocopies of the originals for practice purposes. We use the copy machine for the various forms involved in participating in a co curricular class (medical release forms, media release forms, field trip forms, etc.). This also allows me to make my own worksheets and reference sheets for students to enhance their learning.

We did have a copier owned by the district, but it is no longer being serviced by the company and there are no funds to be able to to replace my copier.
