Our students are 4th graders in a rural Title I school. They are in a transient population. These students do not have a lot of access to technology or other materials outside of school. They are starting to become more invested in their learning and having a variety of resources is the gateway to so many learning avenues. They try their hardest in everything they do, but with limited resources I feel like we are not meeting their needs in the most successful way. The smiles on their faces when there are new resources and engaging content brought into the classroom shows their enthusiasm for learning despite all of their daily challenges outside of school. They love using new engaging materials to help strengthen their reading, understanding because of the awesome program that we use! We love using new and innovative programs and ideas to grow our excitement about learning new reading content.
In my classroom, we do a large variety of cooperative learning activities. These clipboards would help to make these activities more engaging. They would also make the transition from desk work to around the room work easier.
Cooperative learning engages students and makes the learning experience more fun!
Students love when they come in and see that we are doing a task card scoot or other Kagan strategies.
The shredder would be useful in ensuring that important documentation is shredded in a timely manner. In a data-driven world this would be a huge help in making sure all precautions are taken to protect data.
