Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten students work hard every day to learn, grow, and practice positive behavior. This project will bring a slushy machine and flavor syrups into our classroom to be used as a fun, motivating reward and a way to build community.

The slushy machine will allow us to make simple frozen treats during special celebrations, behavior reward days, and classroom events.

The flavor syrups will give students choices and make the experience exciting and memorable. For many of my students, small celebrations like this create big motivation and lasting positive memories of school.

The slushy machine will be used as a reward for meeting classroom goals, earning positive behavior incentives, and celebrating milestones such as improved attendance, teamwork, and kindness.

Kindergarten is often a child’s first experience with school. Creating positive, motivating experiences helps students feel excited about learning and proud of their accomplishments. A simple treat like a slushy can turn hard work into a celebration and reinforce positive choices in a meaningful way.

Many of my students benefit greatly from positive reinforcement, and this project provides a fun, age-appropriate way to recognize their efforts.
