Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our students are administered numerous state and district-mandated assessments throughout the year and these assessments are needed to gauge student achievement and to diagnose areas for improvement. Students often experience testing fatigue and as the teacher we are always looking for ways to excite students about taking these tests. Students need motivation and a slush machine will allow me to provide classes and school-wide parties to promote increased performance on these required assessments. This machine will allow us to have these celebrations to motivate, inspire, and grow students academically.

This slush machine will provide students who have been characterized as having characteristics of dyslexia with a cool and refreshing treat that will promote academic achievement.

Motivating students to do their best is one of the most valuable tools that teachers have in helping students succeed.
