My Project

Our class thrives on innovation and creativity, and the more of this that we engage in, the more our students can thrive and find pathways that interest them. We have a Glowforge and another laser engraver in our classroom and the students do not often have an opportunity to use them with our lessons. I want to be able to offer them a chance to make something for someone else, and engrave a tumbler with a design or message they create, and to have the materials from the assortment pack to be even more creative and thoughtful.

Our students are creative and thoughtful innovators who are always wanting to learn something new and try out new technologies.

We are in the top 2% of most diverse schools in the country and many of our students live at or below the poverty level. We cannot ask them to help provide these supplies but we do need to provide them the opportunity to have the experience of making.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
